I love sheer tops like that, they are amazing layering pieces. I really like how you’ve mixed and matched your pieces and repeated things from day to day.
💕 I have to say, my favourite outfit is your opera ensemble. I love the little bit of shine in it to give it extra visual interest. That sounds like a really fun night too!
My work week fashion is all over the place, and then I have the weekend when I get to go a little “extra.” I enjoy the inconsistency.
Thank you dearest Sheila <3 funny how we perceive work and weekend differently through the fashion lens. For me weekend is where I go more casual. I barely ever wear a blazer. And you see, it's nok like I have a dress code at work that I then want to take a break from ...and yet I do. I think this helps keep the creative juices flowing. So, yes to inconsistency in dressing for the greater good ;)
Really loving your outfits this past week darling 😘 and my you have found some amazing pieces recently secondhand! Really love your opera outfit and the new preloved blue sheer top! You sound really happy and positive for the year ahead and it's so heartwarming! Also, note to self i need to check Cladwell! Xxx
Thanks so much Meera! :) It really is getting easier and easier to find cool pieces online. I still do prefer the in-person experience at a consignment store, but prices on Vinted are just not to be neglected. Do check Cladwell, darling! :)
Thank you dearest Xue :) This is such an uplifting comment. I feel like it really is a journey and maybe you never arrive at the destination. But I do enjoy the 'stop' that I arrived at now. Hugs.
I know, Emily! :) they are really a treasure. I hope to find more Dries this year. ...maybe also some brand new, as I will be visiting their flag ship store in March.
At the moment I don't really rate my purchases. I note which I end up regretting and why, but but would be open to try rating all. What criteria would you use and when would you rate it? After a certain time period has passed or?
That's a very good question, Sigrid. I think I will personally try using Cladwell - the app that I use to register my outfits and track how much wear I get from each item. On the item page on Cladwell, there is an rating option, where you give stars in terms of fit and quality + cost. Do you use any closet app's yourself?
I've been using Stylebook for about 3 years and recently tried Indyx as well (know you aren't a fan of the latter). Stylebook doesn't have a rating system, while Indyx allows you to mark an item as a favourite. Both apps has a notes section. I might rate my purchases separately...
Wow! Sigrid - I actually started with the Stylebook app, just when it launched. Must be now at least 7 years ago or so :) I do agree a 'Favorite' function may be the way to go forward. I've just double-checked Cladwell. The app doesn't have this option. But I have to say the option of 'Possible outfits' for each and every item is still what I love the most. Please do report back how you're doing with the rating. I think it's a good sanity check.
Thanks a lot Melissa :) I must admit, it's something I'm trying out these days, which is also why I allowed myself two of those sheer tops. I bought them via Vinted, at about 11 EUR each. I got inspired by Missmatch10 on Instagram that I interviewed a couple of weeks ago here: https://shoppingmycloset.substack.com/p/interpreting-modern-trends-the-preloved?r=2w5h7c
Oh, and regarding posting on a schedule and extras, for me personally, I am always 2 to 3 days behind in my reading, as I read a lot of different Substacks. 💕

I just love your style! Especially love how you mix classics with statement pieces and your use of color ❤️

I’m learning so much from you and love your reflections :)
You had me at “vintage ecru denim from Dries van Noten” - love it all!

Love the blue high neck under the denim! Great inspiration as always
