I’ve started drafting this post some time ago. In fact, I want to revisit it on a regular basis; treat it as a journal - a JOURNAL of whatever does not work in my closet.
I’ve promised myself to be very specific.
The color (yes, even the tone of the color), the cut, the way I style a particular item, the occasion I’m wearing it for - they all matter and if something feels off I need to capture every single nuance.
Why?
So that I can understand why something is not working in my closet or on my body.
I feel like we are so often seduced and tricked into wanting something. We fantasize how a certain item will make us feel. How great of an addition it will be in our closet. A closet that will be enriched or even entirely transformed by a particular style or cut. …only to later on feel disappointed, defeated or maybe even completely discouraged to play with our wardrobe or - and this may be the worst - that who are we to think that we have style and that we can create great, inspiring looks.
