When it comes to building a wardrobe that stands the test of time - which in itself can be a moving target, as we all have different perceptions of time and how old or how new things in our closets are - making more thoughtful investments continues to help me transform my closet into a place I cherish and love to return to again and again.
Now, let’s not kid ourselves - buying clothes, shoes and bags is never or at least very rarely an investment in the actual economical meaning of the term. But what we often mean by investing in our closets is spending our money on items that we will serve us and give us joy for a long time to come.
You also probably know by now that I like some element of structure, rules, lists and guidelines in my wardrobe to help me make the right choices, especially when it comes to enjoying what I already have in my wardrobe through wardrobe edits and buying in a more conscious way.
