If you’ve been following me here for a while, you know that my ‘What I wore in week #…/2025’ posts feature typically outfits from my five work days. Sometimes, there will be some business trips among them. On other occasions, there will be more work from home looks
This time, I also wanted to include last Saturday. Hubby and I went out for a little date at one of the popular restaurants in the Vesterbro area of Copenhagen. It’s basically our backyard and the weather was just perfect - still crisp from the cold, but no wind or rain, so we walked.
What do we do otherwise?
Bike…but of course :)
I wore a mostly preloved Tibi look, incl. the Liam blazer that you’ve seen here before + their probably equally famous tropical wool jogger. Which really is more a tailored pant but has an edge and is super comfy.
I did wear my Uniqlo heattech tights underneath, as tropical wool is mostly a summer material, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to wear the pant.
So, this is how I showed up for my date with hubby:
BTW - if you’re looking for a comfortable pair of black boots that has a point of view, look no further. These Paris Texas ones are worth a lot of praise.
On Sunday, as usual, I did an outfit planning LIVE. I hope you enjoy them. Id’ love your feedback.
Sunday outfit planning - 2nd of March
With the days getting longer and oh boy! they can be long in Denmark :) I’ll be doing these lives later during the day, so hopefully more of you will be able to join.
But, let’s get to it. Let’s see what I wore during the actual work week.
Monday
It felt like a good start of the week I would say. A good portion of oversize silhouettes, with the voluminous denim and the deconstructed blazer. But then also some skin, with the pointed shoe and the V-neck top in a slimmer cut.
There’s nothing I would have done differently here. A good outfit that I see myself wearing again in autumn and winter 2026.
Tuesday
Can you believe that I’d never worn this same blazer and this pleated skirt together? Mainly because the colors are not exactly ‘matching’. Up close they should actually not work together at all.
Somehow the grey of the cashmere T-shirt and the white of the chunky boot, help the two brownish-burgundish colors complement each other.
A pity I have only now thought of putting an outfit like this together. Only now, as in - this is a winter stylig. On the upside though, I can still repeat it going forward, as both the skirt and the blazer are 12moer’s, using Tibi’s terminology, and can be worn all year long.
I can simply exchange the cashmere T-shirt with a grey cotton version and the white boot with my minimalistic Toteme white sneakers or my white loafers.
Yes, please.
Wednesday
I’m really happy with what I packed for the short business trip to Poland. I know, I know, I did mention that I would try to travel with just my handbag (what on earth were I really thinking?!), but I ended up bringing my carry-on with me after all.
Since I knew I’d be missing my Wednesday gym workout with my personal trainer, at least I wanted to make use of the hotel gym. This meant that I needed extra space in my luggage for the gym clothes.
The first day of the conference I showed up wearing my Stouls Paris leather pants, preloved suede jacket and striped shirt. For a little bit more friction, but mostly comfort - I wore my Dries camel sneakers. The navy belt from Tibi was another small interesting detail that I like using with black and brown.
Thursday
Besides the leather pants I did pack a pair of, what I call, business pants - a classic boot cut model from Theory. The temperature was forecasted to skyrocket in Sopot, where the conference was held. I’m happy I did bring them with me, as the temperatures climbed far above the 13oC.
Otherwise it was a little bit of same, same, but different. The shirt was replaced by a long sleeve bamboo shirt (also a recently found preloved piece).
Wearing this wide shoulder suede jacket with a rather slim pant made me again think about my fit preferences. I’m actually writing another post about. I’ll be collecting and journaling observations from my daily interactions with my wardrobe and the outfits I choose to wear.
The first observation is that I need more counter-balance to the wide shoulder element of the jacket. A slim pant like the leather one or the one from Theory is doing the exact opposite. It’s actually emphasizing the shoulders.
What could work much better? A pant like my Haikure denim or the Tibi Stella pant. Definitely also the Joseph balloony pant I found 2nd hand in London.
Lesson learned!
Friday
Is spring slowly announcing its arrival? :)
Temperatures at around 15oC and much, much more if you could find a spot in the sun with absolutely no wind.
Hubby and I went to see his daughter for lunch. She had just returned from a month of traveling in Australia, so we had some catching up to do, And since I was working from home that day, I could easily fit in a lunch downtown.
I really, really liked what I decided to wear that day: you’ve seen the silver boots and the Shon pant from Nili Lotan here before.
The black coat is best for spring and early autumn and I love how it adds contrast to the otherwise bright and slightly tone in tone look. I love how it matches the belt and the bag.
I’m also wearing my old cashmere jumper here that I actually retired…only to discover that it is actually best for those slightly milder days. Should I keep it then?
Well, I didn’t get as far as adding it to the list of things that I’m currently culling in my closet:
What else needs to go
My closet is a living organism. It evolves. It grows but it also shrinks according to my needs, likes and seasons. I like it this way.
Let’s see if I’ll continue being drawn to it. It is a really good quality cashmere piece, but just a slightly thinner material and the larger crewneck does not provide the coverage for my neck that I typically crave when it’s really cold.
That’s it guys. 5 days and 5 looks with a tiny bonus :)
See you later at Sunday outfit planning LIVE.
With love
Ewelina
The way you style those silver boots gets me every time!
Ooo - love the brown checked coat/blazer (maybe Tibi?) and the way you added those white combat boots with the skirt!
